The Apollo Care team gathered at Wrigley Field in September for a memorable afternoon of baseball, witnessing a Cubs win that clinched a playoff berth.
Adding to the occasion, Michael Aquilino, Apollo Care’s CFO and lifelong Cubs fan, threw out the ceremonial first pitch through a contribution benefiting Foundation To Be Named Later.
“Foundation To Be Named Later” was founded by longtime Red Sox fans following the 2004 World Series championship. The foundation channels the enthusiasm of sports fans into support for urban youth and families. Its name is a nod to the baseball phrase “player to be named later.”
The foundation has since expanded its presence in Chicago, establishing the Lin Brehmer College Scholars Program to assist local students in pursuing four-year college degrees through scholarships, mentorship, and ongoing support.
The outing offered a memorable close to summer while supporting the foundation’s work in the Chicago community.
